CONGRATULATIONS to ATJ's Jacque'line Wright
Hello family, friends and sponsors of Jacque'line Wright. Jacque'line participated in the National American Miss Pre-teen Ohio Pageant. She competed with 206 other girls throughout the state of Ohio. There were 2 sets of judges, 6 for overall and 6 for the optional events (modeling, talent, spokesmodel and actress). Jacque'line competed in the modeling and talent. The breakdown of the scores were 30% for introduction (in an interview outfit), 30% gowns (Dad got to walk her down) 30% interviews (in interview outfit) Jacque'line had to interview with each judge one on one and 10% community involvement. This took place over three days at the Hyatt convention center in Columbus, Ohio.
Jacque'line did amazing!!! She received:
2nd Runner-Up in Casual Wear Modeling
1st Runner-Up in Talent
2nd RUNNER UP OVERALL she is now officially on the Queens Court.
She was given a dozen roses, a very large trophy and an invitation to the Nationals over Thanksgiving in California at Disneyland to represent her city. (we have not decided if we are going to participate or not of course Jacque'line is dying to!!!( She also received a participation trophy, a trophy and check for 75.00 for Talent and a trophy for Modeling.
We are so proud of her. It was a lot more difficult that we anticipated. (This was Jacque's first pageant!!) The pageant has changed in that they are looking for a real girl that can represent her age group (high GPA, community involvement, school activities extra curriculars, can speak to large groups and one on one with confidence). Jacque'line had to speak in front of a large group for the first time. She had to perform her modeling and talent 2 times, the second time in front of 1200 people!!! She did a tap number and has never done a solo before!! It was amazing to watch how calmly and confidently she performed all of these things!
